Photobooth Fridays, No. 30

Memorial Day Weekend slack-off edition!

No big reference post this Friday. No, instead an unveiling of my very first sketchbook! 'Yield For Snails' is a small 36-page collection of my pin-ups, commissions, sketches and illustration work over recent memory, featuring 18 full color pages!
These will eventually be available online, but for the time being are going to be sold solely at upcoming convention appearances, the first of which will be next weekend at Heroes Con in Charlotte, NC.

Here's some more pictures of Maris and I goofing around with our copies:

On a side note, please take the time to head on over to 5 Minute Marvels, a blog where a dad and his two daughters make quick, adorable drawings in response to ones submitted to them by professional comic artists. They're all really great, but today I was flattered to see that I was the inspiration for some mighty fine Harley Quinn drawings. Great work, guys!

I spy a SOLO page hanging above your table, very nice! I can't work out what the other page is next to it. Care to share?

Thank you so much for the kind words, Joe! I've been following your work for a long time. The girls and I were inspired by the passion and sheer joy that's evident in your work. Looking forward to meeting you and Maris at HeroesCon!

Simon - Actually there are TWO SOLO pages behind my table. Both are from 'Batman A Go-Go'. I was super psyched to have gotten these from Mike. They're brilliant.

Tim- No problem! Thank you so much for the kind words. It's such a wonderful idea, to have these regular drawing sessions with your girls. I really am flattered to have been included. I look forward to meeting you at Heroes!

Jim- I feel slightly threatened. I'm scared. Just kidding, I'm sure we can work something out post Heroes, should you not be able to attend, and still want one.

Joe - Oh, wow, I completely missed your reply comment. I would like to work something out, if possible. Paypal? Check sent to you with SASE? Let me know. *slowly unfolds fist and gestures with fingers in a friendly, waving fashion*

I'm not selling them anywhere online yet, but if you'd like one, I'd be glad to sell one to you directly. E-mail me!
